There a discussion over at Yugatech asking if people turn off their computers at night. Personally, I’ve been using standby. It’s more convenient to boot it up again from standby rather than wait for it to boot up from a cold start.

Just a little experiment on framing. Shot taken at Cibo, Glorietta.
I’ve been contemplating on setting up a file server so I don’t have to connect a USB drive to my notebook PC just to backup and transfer files. But I don’t want to have to keep the desktop PC on just for that purpose. The AirPort Extreme offers a solution but is quite expensive. Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?
We did a visita iglesia last night. As always there were still a lot of people everywhere, mostly with their families. We went to Sto. Domingo, Sta. Teresita, Our Lady of Lourdes, U.S.T., Claret, U.P. and finally at our village chapel. I’ll post photos once I’ve imported them.
I wonder though who needed more than four police escort vehicles just to make his/her rounds for visita iglesia, with blinkers at that. I’m also not quite sure if going to church is official business. Sometimes I think people just don’t understand what cost cutting means.
Day 5 of Photoworks was quite enlightening. I got to discover a whole new perspective on exposure, knowing what the light meter is telling you and actually using it to create the shot you want to take. After reading countless websites about the topic, there’s really nothing new discussed on the technical side. But what our instructor Leo Castillo brings to the table is a better and easier way to understand how things work and how to use them to your liking.
Congratulations to my two friends, Attys. Aguirre and Mangundayao who we can aptly call lawyers now. Good job.
