Mobile Apps

Since I’ve been on my E71 a lot more. Here’s some apps that I frequently use on it.

  • Google Maps — Although Singapore is a small city, there are still places I don’t know how to go to. Add a GPS function to Google Maps and I can practically find my way to anywhere.
  • Nokia Share Online — This is one of the first things I liked with the S60 devices, the seamless integration of Flickr with the camera and gallery function of the phone. You can snap a picture or select a picture in gallery and send it to flickr with title, tags and description.
  • JoikuSpot — Something I use to share my mobile broadband with my MacBook Pro and iPod. It creates an ad hoc WiFi access point for any device to connect to. It manages to make the phone pretty warm though so I don’t use it for extended periods of time.
  • Gmail Mobile — This is very handy since Nokia’s native messaging app doesn’t really play well with IMAP folders. So when I need to check certain emails that I’ve archived I use the gmail mobile app which was recently just updated to 2.0.
