More fonts for the web

W3C has started a discussion on a Font Working Group so that a format can be adopted for embedding fontsĀ  in xHTML pages. This is a welcome development for web professionals who’ve always wanted to use fonts other than Arial, Verdana, Georgia, et. al. for content without having to resort to Flash (or Silverlight for that matter).
